NRSC Again Calls On Carnahan To Clarify Her Position On $2.5 Trillion Health Care Takeover
After every Democrat Senator in the United States Senate announced their intention to vote in favor of President Obama and Harry Reid’s $2.5 trillion dollar health care bill Saturday afternoon, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) again called on Democrat Senate candidate Robin Carnahan (D-MO) to tell Missourians whether or not she would vote to move this bill forward if she were in the Senate today.
According to a recent report from the Associated Press, Carnhan said she “is both excited and concerned about House-passed legislation that would overhaul the nation’s health care system. But Carnahan, who is Missouri’s secretary of state, declined to specifically say Tuesday whether she supports the bill.”

“Now that all of her would-be Democrat Senate colleagues have made their position clear, Robin Carnahan needs to immediately clarify where she stands on her political party’s $2.5 trillion government-run health care boondoggle,” said NRSC spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson Marchand.
“As she has done with so many critical issues facing her state, Carnahan has refused to take a firm stand on the current health care bill, offering only vague platitudes on such an important subject,” Wilkerson Marchand continued “Carnahan needs to tell Missourians: If she were in the Senate today, would she stand with Democrats in Washington and support this costly and controversial government take-over of America’s health care system, or would she represent Missouri with an independent voice and oppose moving this bill forward?”
